WAKE UP!

Too long have people stood by and watch the world burn. Too long have they watched and did nothing while a fellow human being was murdered right before their very eyes. Too long have the opportunities to change this stagnant indifference passed by untouched. No longer. The place is here, the time is now. We have the power to change the world’s perception of humanity – we have the power and the opportunity – now we need to act. And what better place to start than right here in the United States of America? What better time than now?

SO WAKE UP, PEOPLE! END INDIFFERENCE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Nothing is more precious in this world than a human life. And yet, there are those who care nothing but for their own life, and disregard the pain and suffering of other lives. There are those who do appear to care, but choose not to lend their hand in simple loving kindness for whatever reason fits the mold of their indifference towards that outstretched hand. Why? What possible rationale could there be not to give help to someone who needs it? It’s not about money – it’s about a human life, and what you can do to save it – it’s about taking that extra step to show that you care, and that you are willing to act upon that feeling to make change in this world.

There are horrible people out there… monsters willing to murder countless innocents to achieve their own twisted pursuits. However, what makes people like that so horrible, is that fact that people around them turn a blind eye to their crimes – they allow them to happen.

Genocide is the most hateful and horrific display of cruelty towards humanity ever conceived. But you are mistaken if you think that genocide is just a problem in Sudan – just a problem in Sierra Leone – just a problem in Armenia, Chad, Cambodia, Bosnia, Croatia, or Ethiopia. Genocide is a critical human issue, not just something you briefly hear in the news about the problems in a country far away. It is real, it is here, it is our problem – a problem of humanity.

Don’t turn a blind eye to the horrors of the world. Make a difference – end indifference. You have the power to change the world for the better, but only if you are willing to admit there’s a problem in the first place. Spread the awareness of genocide.
